Love Flows Eternal No matter how strong or imposing Taranaki Maunga is he can never truly hold on to Hangatahua (Stoney River) and so his tears perpetually feed her ensuring he has her to hold even though she flows continuously through him to the sea. This is a tale where there is no love without loss and yet at the same time it is loss inspiring an act of love.
