Bright & Bold returns to The Collaboration for 2026, bringing together a vibrant collection of contemporary art that celebrates colour, confidence, energy, and creative expression.
This annual curated exhibition invites artists to make an impact. Through bold colour, expressive mark-making, striking composition, texture, form, and individual storytelling, each artist brings their own interpretation of what it means to be Bright & Bold.
Featuring artists from Taranaki and across Aotearoa New Zealand, the exhibition brings together a diverse range of contemporary practices and perspectives. From energetic abstract works to distinctive forms and considered compositions, the collection is designed to capture attention, spark conversation, and bring colour and personality into the spaces we live in.
Whether you’re an experienced collector, looking for original New Zealand art for your home, discovering local artists for the first time, or simply searching for inspiring things to do in New Plymouth, Bright & Bold offers an opportunity to experience original artwork in person at our Ngāmotu gallery.
Original artworks are available to purchase throughout the exhibition, with The Collaboration supporting and connecting collectors directly with artists from Taranaki and throughout Aotearoa.
