Taking inspiration from the theme of ‘undersized’, I decided to look into a smaller moment in my life that became a lasting memory. I painted a peaceful moment of viewing the cherry blossoms as they began to bloom in the first month of spring, pink flowers contrasting cloudy overcast sky. Although I only had a few minutes to enjoy the blossoms while commuting in between classes, I left feeling lighter.
