Description

Acrylic on paper, cotton thread, framed 1190 x 830 x 30mm

Open-and-shut: A single sheet of paper folded, slashed, painted and stitched to create a large rhythmic design. The dimensional nature of the shutters create an interplay with light and shadow changing as light changes. Double Crossed II: A single piece of paper is folded, slashed, painted and stitched to reveal a series of crosses. But watch out, look at it from both sides, they are not all the same!
