Ruru Owl 1000 Piece Puzzle

Description

WerkShoppe’s 1000 piece puzzle Ruru Owl depicts the native New Zealand Ruru with its luminous, piercing eyes. Its melancholic call delighted the artist Ellen Giggenbach, inspiring a colourful, geometric tribute that evokes its piercing call, ringing across the bay at night.

Artist Ellen Giggenbach was born in Bavaria, Germany and now lives in the seaside village of Eastbourne, New Zealand. Her art works are inspired by traditional European folk art, her unique natural environment and love of the distinctive colours and forms of mid century illustration and design.
