When I first started as Sexy as Soup, I mainly did fine line black and white illustrations. With time, and a strong desire to develop my own style, colour quickly became a key and wild feature I wanted to wield, but never completely tame, brighter, bolder, darker and with a story. I let the process decide how each painting comes out, it’s very much a conversation with colour, and the orignal idea is rarely close to the final piece. These 3 paintings I am immensely proud of and love the stories they display, which is something I wouldn’t of been able to say about my work just a few years ago.
