Description

Tanya Mercer Buckwheat in Autumn, northward Oil, paper tissue on board 140 x 200mm $130 Resting Field is an acknowledgment of the quiet regenerative stage in a market garden, when cover crops like buckwheat die down and become material for compost. These works reflect on how decomposition and rest feed the next cycle of growth, the often under appreciated part of food production where fertility is rebuilt.
