I have always been inspired by the unruly yet organised nature of the forest that lies between mountain and sea. Since moving too Aotearoa, exploring this diverse ecosystem, i have wanted to translate that mysterious nature onto canvas. Each piece is a combination of trying to capture the essence of the forest with a child like whimsy whilst also playing with the paint/process itself.
